This semester, students in the “Natural Resources” collaborative project have been preparing for the final trip in the project, which is to Iceland. Time has flown by and now the students from Finland and Norway have set off and are arriving in the country today. In the coming days, we will be able to follow what the students are doing.
The Finnish group:
Our day started at 2.30, when we began our journey from Vaala to Oulu’s airport. We were near the airport when another car crashed into us! Luckily everyone was okay although the bus got a big scratch on its’ side.
Our flights went really well and in Keflavik Hjördis was waiting for us. We drove to Reykjavik in a bus and here we ate well and explored the city. We were very shocked that the prices here are so high but at least the views were beautiful!
We started out from the airport in Brønnøysund, and when the security guard asked us where we were going we answered in unison: we’re going on an adventure»!After a brief pitstop close to Hell (place name in Stjørdal) we headed to Copenhagen airport. Being a large airport, it provided us with a wide range of options for both window shopping and fine dining. After spending quality time, also known as «Hygge» in both Danish and Norwegian, we boarded the plane that took us to Iceland. At Keflavik we were met by our wonderful guide and organiser, Hjördis, and after a short bus trip we arrived at the hostel and went straight to bed. The adventure had just begun!
