Thursday October 17th
Today we started the day by going to the school for a while and after that we walked 10 km. During the walk we stopped at a pier and saw the view of the lake in Vaala and then continued to an island. We stopped at the grave of a woman, Isa Asp who is well known in Vaala. As we continued, there were ruins/stones that also had a story behind them. When we were halfway on our walk we came to a powerplant. Our guide told us about how live was in Vaala when she was young and what the poweplant does for the town. Our last stop was at the lake and we heard how the lake was used for transport.
When we came to school it was lunchtime. We had 3 hours to finish the group work and in the end each group show the video they made. Before we left school we took a survey about the trip and the projectwork.
After school some of us had some time with our hostfamilies. In the evening we went to the camp fire and had a lot of fun. After the camp fire we went to one of the Finnish students house where we talked a lot and everyone had fun before everyone had to leave.
