Today, our main goal was to visit the Rokua Geopark. Starting the day, we took a bus from the school to the geopark. On the way, we stopped at a wood transportation site (Roundwood terminal, Nuojua), shipping wood to factories by train.
At the geopark we met two Mikkos… One of them guided the way to a camp with cabins and a watchtower. Here we ate our lunch bags from school, with a delicious yoghurt. Then Mikko the guide taught us the way of fire with flint and steel, as well as shooting perfect pictures. Mikko the father, with an excited baby on the back, showed us how the landscape of sand, forests and how groundwater was formed.
When we returned, we made and ate tortillas for dinner together at the school canteen. Afterwards, we got served some yogurt and berries, and marking the end of a long day.
