Hi,

My name is Marjaana Laukkanen. I am 45 years old and I work as a biology, geography and chemistry teacher in Vaala Upper Secondary School. I have worked here for twelve years. Earlier I was working in a chemistry laboratory. I can also teach health education.

I have three kids; two sons (17 and 15 years) and a daughter (11 years). We live 24 kilometres from Vaala. I have two cats and a turtle. In the summertime I like to walk in the forest and work in the garden. In the wintertime I like to read a lot and do crossword puzzles and sudokus. I love travelling and I want to get to know new people from different countries. I look forward to visiting Iceland and Norway again.
